SHEAR-HEAD TECHNOLOGY - TECHNICAL STANDAR D AND FUTURE ASPECTS

The shear-head technology developed approx. 20 years ago for continuou s production of technical rubber profiles shows a number oi advantages compared with other technologies. Because of the internally generated heat by shearing of the material and of the uniform temperature distr ibution over the complete cross-section, shear head produced profiles show high stability, dimensional accuracy, surface quality and a unifo rm cure rate. Shear-head extrusion lines proof to be particularly suit able for production oi thick-wailed 1- or 2-compound profiles with or without metal reinforcement.
