Mn. Rumyantseva et al., INFLUENCE OF COPPER ON SENSOR PROPERTIES OF TIN DIOXIDE FILMS IN H2S, Materials science & engineering. B, Solid-state materials for advanced technology, 41(2), 1996, pp. 228-234
The interaction of SnO2(CuO) polycrystalline films with H2S+N-2 gas mi
xtures has been investigated by conductivity measurements, Auger elect
ron spectroscopy, secondary neutral mass spectrometry and X-ray diffra
ction. A significant effect of film conductivity increase in the prese
nce of H2S has been found. It is suggested that the reversibility of t
he electrical properties of the doped films may be produced by a chang
e in the copper state in the tin dioxide by means of selective chemica
l reactions with H2S and oxygen accordingly.
