The influence of organic additives on the phase state of aqueous-organ
ic systems containing sodium di-2-ethylhexyl phosphate was studied. Wa
ter-in-oil microemulsion was found to be formed in the presence of lon
g-chain alcohols. It is noted that the formation of microemulsions in
extraction systems containing the salts of di-2-ethylhexylphosphoric a
cid may complicate the kinetics of the extraction recovery.
