Experiments were performed on electrization of dielectric liquids duri
ng their laminar flow in cylindrical metal pipes. It was found that th
e ratio of theoretically calculated and experimental electrization cur
rents is close to unity. The experimental data were used to evaluate t
he rate constant of electrochemical reaction of white spirit; this con
stant proved to be rather large. Therefore, the relaxation length for
the electrization current depends only on the Debye number and the Pec
let number but does not depend on the rate of the electrochemical reac
tion on the pipe wall.
