Abstract
A new endophytic ascomycete inhabiting three ericaceous plants, Rhodod endron indicum, Rhododendron macrosepalum, and Rhododendron obtusum, i s described as Discostroma tricellulare sp.nov. (Amphisphaeriaceae). T his fungus produces three-celled, biseriate ascospores in unitunicate asci that have an amyloid ring in the apical apparatus. Its anamorph i s named Seimatosporium azaleae sp.nov.
