Abstract
A novel synthesis of 7-methylsulfanylpyrrolo[1,2-c]imidazoles via reac tion of [bis(alkylsulfanyl)methylene] malononitrile and ethyl 2-cyano- 3,3-bis(alkylsulfanyl)acrylate with 2-thioxohydantoins is reported and the synthetic potential of the method is demonstrated.
