A method for calculation of the angle beta between the magnetic moment
and rotation axis in pulsars with periods P < 0.1 s is proposed. The
values of beta calculated for 32 pulsars separate into two groups: in
the first, <(beta)over bar> = 72.degrees 6, and in the second, <(beta)
over bar> = 13.degrees 7. The more frequent appearance of interpulses
expected for such a distribution is confirmed by observations: 23% of
pulsars with P < 0.1 s have interpulses, while only 2.3% of pulsars wi
th P > 0.1 s have interpulses.
