Any experimental test of quantum nonseparability with correlated photo
ns must use some instrument (either to change the settings of the pola
rizers quickly [J.S. Bell, Physics 1, 195 (1964)] or to direct the pho
tons stochastically to two polarizers in different settings [A. Aspect
, Phys. Rev. D 14, 1944 (1976)]) to defeat any possible ''rapport'' be
tween the source of light and the polarizers; but care needs to be tak
en to guard against any ''rapport'' between such an instrument and the
polarizers or the source of light. An experiment with Kerr cells coul
d achieve this.
