Rheological behavior and phase morphology of binary blends comprising
poly(butylene terephthalate) or polypropylene and a thermotropic LC po
lyester were studied by viscometry and electron microscopy. A specific
feature inherent to these blends is that their viscosity increases at
low concentrations of thermotropic LC polyester, The reasons that may
account for such behavior are discussed.
