The formation of copper complexes of the copolymers of N-vinylpyrrolid
one and allyl glycidyl ether modified with glycine or p-alanine and th
e copolymers of N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide with methacryloylgly
cine and methacryloyl-beta-alanine were studied by UV visible spectrop
hotometry and ESR spectroscopy. It was shown that, depending on the na
ture of ligand and the pH of medium, either the carboxylate complexes
or the chelate structures that involve one or two nitrogen atoms of am
ino acid in cupric ion coordination are formed.
