Abstract
A facility for studying the thermal properties of materials is describ ed. The results of experimental determination of thermal diffusivity a nd calculation of heat conductivity of a group of samples of silicon n itride-based ceramics in the temperature range of 800 to 1700 K are gi ven. It is revealed that photon heat transfer may have an appreciable effect on the heat conductivity of those materials at high temperature s.
