Abstract
Section of the Al-Zn-Ca system at 623 K was drawn due to X-ray diffrac tion. Two ternary compounds CaAl2Zn2 and CaAlZn were found in the syst em. The aluminum-based solid solution is in equilibrium with CaAl4 and the zinc-based solid solution. The latest is in equilibrium with tern ary intermetallic compounds CaAl2Zn2 and CaAlZn and binary compounds C aAl4 and CaZn13.
