Abstract
This paper shows the first known telemetry and remote monitoring desig n for an Automatic Atmospheric Vapour Phase Mercury Analyser. The peri pheral design and set-up are built to operate the Tekran(R) 2537A thro ugh telemetry and remote monitoring. This design permits remote contro l of some specific operations (zero/span, interference test, reboot, e tc.) and the transfer of files from host to remote sites. The applicat ions of this set-up permit easier monitoring facilities, real time dat a acquisition, the use of the analyser in hazardous environments or in remote areas. application are presented (e.g.- interference test and gradient flux measurements). Such a design and set-up may be useful in the operation of a national or international mercury network as well as for research purposes.
