Abstract
The electron-electron interaction potential by exchange of virtual int erface phonons in a single-heterostructure is studied in the presence and absence of a perpendicular magnetic field. It is shown that the ef fective potential is different from that of the three-dimensional case and the magnetic field plays an interesting role in changing the stre ngth of the effective potential.
