Abstract
We study the low-temperature homogeneous photoluminescence linewidths for the free exciton singlet and triplet peaks in crystalline GaTe. Go od agreement is obtained between the theoretical and experimental resu lts, We found that the effective temperature for singlet excitons in G aTe is probably higher than that of triplet excitons at low temperatur es and low excitation intensities.
