O. Hayashida et al., PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NOVEL CAGE-TYPE CYCLOPHANES HAVING 3 OR 4 BRIDGING DIPEPTIDE SEGMENTS, Chemistry Letters, (12), 1996, pp. 1057-1058
Novel cage-type cyclophanes constructed with two rigid macrocyclic ske
letons, triaza[3.3.3]paracyclophanes or tetraaza[3.3.3.3]paracyclophan
es, and three or four dipeptide moieties, alpha-L-aspartyl-L-aspartyl
residues, were prepared. The guest-binding behavior of the cage-type h
osts toward fluorescent guests, such as 8-anilinonaphthalene-1-sulfona
te and 6-p-toluidinonaphthalene-2-sulfonate, was examined in compariso
n with that demonstrated by non-cage hosts toward the identical guests
.
