Abstract
Basic trends in the improvement of chemical composition and manufactur ing technique are considered. Composition, properties, and application fields of some new corrosion-resistant steels of various structural c lasses, as well as of iron- and nickel-based alloys, are given. The ra nges of steel qualities, sizes and products of Russian corrosion-resis tant steels and alloys are shown to be highly competitive with interna tional ones.
