Abstract
A synthesized 75-mer single stranded DNA (ssDNA-1) was covalently immo bilized on a oxidized graphite electrode surface that had been activat ed using EDC and NHS, The immobilized ssDNA-1 hybridized with various concentrations of complementary ssDNA-2 in hybridization buffer contai ning DXH. The dsDNA/DXH system was formed on the electrode surface. Th e cathodic waves of the DXH bound to the dsDNA with cyclic voltammetry were used for the determination of ssDNA-2, The reduction peak curren ts of DXH were linearly related to the concentration of ssDNA-2 betwee n 1x10(-5) to 5x10(-7) mg/mL. The determination demonstrated the metho d is practicable.
