Abstract
This paper covered the phase of molybdenum catalyst system with hydrog enated gasoline as solvent, MoCl3(OC8H17)(2)(i-Bu)(2)AlO-PhCH(3)(m) as the catalyst. By means of Tyndall effect and electromicroscope observ ation, we found molybdenum was a colloid catalyst. The colloid particl es were mainly congregated by MoCl3(OC8H17)(2), which reacted with (i- Bu)(2)AlOPhCH(3) (m) at the same time, Tn order to examine where the a ctive centers of catalytic polymerization were, an ultrafiltration exp eriment was done by a pored filter, The result shows that the active c enters existed on the surface of the colloid particles, So the whole c atalytic polymerization was a heterogeneous catalytic reaction, The st ate of colloid particles was hardly influenced by ageing. This kind of catalyst system was a comparatively stable colloid system.
