The A(2) Pi-X(2) Sigma and B-2 Sigma-X(2) Sigma transitions of CaH are
observed in a pulsed electrical discharge and after excitation of the
4s4p P-3(1) state of Ca by a pulsed laser (657.28 nm). The temporal b
ehavior of these emissions in the electrical post-discharge shows that
the excitation mechanisms imply one and two metastable 4s4p P-3 state
s.
