Abstract
A procedure for manufacturing a silica-based fluorescent sensor for de termining levels of oxygen is described. Since it is monolithic, this sensor is highly competitive in sensitivity with other types of sensor s, which are based on dispersed silica. This feature increases the sta bility of the analytical signal measured by the new sensor in a liquid flow and under mechanical action on the analyzer.
