Abstract
Inclusion complex formation between pyridoxine and beta- and gamma-cyc lodextrins in aqueous solution has been investigated by H-1 NMR and UV spectroscopy. Both complexes exhibited a 1:1 stoichiometry and the in clusion process has been shown to perturb the equilibrium between the lactim and the lactam tautomer of pyridoxine, with a preferential incl usion of the former, less polar tautomer.
