Ha. Rhodes et Bc. Kondratieff, ANNOTATED LIST OF THE STONEFLIES (PLECOPTERA) OF WESTERN NEBRASKA, USA, Journal of the Kansas Entomological Society, 69(2), 1996, pp. 191-198
Few Plecoptera species records are available from Nebraska. Distributi
on for nine species of stoneflies in five families from 16 western cou
nties are newly presented. Five new state records include: Capnura wan
ica (Frison), Isoperla quinquepunctata (Banks), Perlesta cinctipes (Ba
nks), Pteronarcys pictetii Hagen, and Taeniopteryx burksi Ricker & Ros
s. Our survey indicates that western Nebraska is a mixing zone for typ
ical eastern and midwestern North American and Rocky Mountain species.
