F. Trotta et al., REMOVAL OF PHENOLS FROM AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS IN THE PRESENCE OF HORSERADISH-PEROXIDASE AND CYCLODEXTRIN DERIVATIVES, Journal of inclusion phenomena and molecular recognition in chemistry, 25(1-3), 1996, pp. 225-228
The hydroxylated aromatic compounds, present in the industrial waste w
aters, constitute a great environmental problem and many different pro
cesses, such as chemical or enzymatic oxidation, were reported in orde
r to solve this problem. In this preliminary work we studied the influ
ence of some cyclodextrin derivatives on the oxidation of phenols by h
orseradish peroxidase in presence of H2O2. We found that the cyclodext
rin presence promote phenols removal from aqueous solution for a large
set of compounds and we started to study the kinetic of the highly re
active 2,4,6-tribromophenol.
