Abstract
A dual space optimisation method (DSO) for extracting the natural freq uencies of a radar target is presented. The method is based on the dua l space optimisation theory. Methods such as the Prony method, the imp roved Prony method and the E-pulse method appear to he special cases o f it. A new algorithm is also derived from the DSO method.
