Abstract
Using intramolecular coordination as an approach, the synthesis and is olation of hybrid selenium ligands, monomeric selenolate complexes of mercury and tellurium azamacrocycles is described. It has been demonst rated that intramolecular coordination can be used as a potential appr oach to isolate stable, monomeric organo-selenium and -tellurium speci es which are otherwise unstable.
