Abstract
Thermopower and electrical resistivity of HfTe2 and ZrTe2, semi-metals with layered structure, were measured. The results on HfTe2 are compa red with the Hall coefficient by Klipstein et al. The electronic prope rties of HfTe2 are interpreted in terms of a simple 2-band model. By a nalogy, the properties of ZrTe2 are understood similarly.
