Abstract
Recent surveys of some metropolitan areas in the United States have sh own an increasing death rate as a result of violence among adolescents and young adults. In France, there has been no systematic research in to the characteristics of homicide among youth and young adults. We ha ve attempted from autopsy and police records to determine the incidenc e and the circumstances of homicides in the 15 to 29 age group, in Par is and its suburbs, during the past 3 years.
