Abstract
With the increasing number of rebuild and retrofit projects in the pul p and paper industry, new design tools acid methods must be employed t o reduce project cost and to cut construction time. Photogrammetry, co upled with 3D CAD, was used on the Nexgen project in Port Alberni, BC, for the design of a paper machine conversion. Based on this experienc e, photogrammetry has shown great promise for changing the way rebuild work is performed.
