Abstract
Standardized performance analysis (SPA) methodology and a review of th e information collected from the cow/calf SPA program are presented in this column. SPA methodology, guidelines, software, and educational m aterials have been produced by the National Cattlemen's Association an d are a part of the Integrated Resource Management (IRM) program. SPA represents a producer-driven effort that provides much-needed integrat ed performance information to the beef cattle sector. SPA processes pr oduction (SPA-P) and financial (SPA-F) performance data and provides c ritical information for successful cow/calf production management cons ultation.
