DIRECT APPROACH FOR DETECTION OF FREE-RADICALS IN EQUINE POST-ANESTHETIC MYOPATHY

This preliminary study demonstrated the existence of a free radical ge neration during an experimental postischemic muscular reperfusion in a halothane anesthetized horse. The authors used alpha-phenyl-N-tert-bu tylnitrone as a spin trap agent and the electronic paramagnetic resona nce method to observe in vivo a free radical generation.
