Several WOFATIT ion exchangers were tested for the extraction of arsen
ic(V) of model solutions of groundwater. For this purpose the behaviou
r of strongly and weakly basic anion exchangers were investigated. The
se had the following anchoring groups on a styrene-divinylbenzene matr
ix. Trimethylammonium (SW 31, SZ 30), dimethylhydroxyethylammonium (SB
K, SL 30), methyl-N-triethylamine (SN 36L), dimethylamine (AD 41), di-
N-butylamine (Y 96), iminodiacetic acid (MC 50), N-methyl-aminoglucito
l (MK 51), N-methyl-aminomethyl-phosphonic acid (Y 80) and mercaptane
(FCM 91-95).
