Abstract
Previous scaling results indicate that the H-mode power threshold incr eases nearly linearly with the line-averaged density, <(n)over bar (e) >, and the toroidal field, B-t. The power threshold was measured in si milar, ITER-like, discharges in JET and DIII-D, at the same <(n)over b ar (e)> and B-t in order to determine the size scaling of the power th reshold. The results indicate a size scaling proportional to the surfa ce area, S-0.5, which is weaker than the linear surface area dependenc e previously assumed.
