The nonlinear interchange mode shows an intermittent oscillation and g
enerates a zonal counter-streaming Bow when transport due to vortex fl
ow is suppressed. A model of the ELM (edge localized mode) observed in
the H- (high-confinement) mode plasma is discussed based on the perio
d of intermittent oscillation depending upon the Rayleigh number.
