G. Couture et S. Godfrey, MEASUREMENT OF THE WW-GAMMA-VERTEX THROUGH SINGLE-PHOTON PRODUCTION AT E(-)-COLLIDERS()E(), Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 50(9), 1994, pp. 5607-5612
We perform a detailed study of the process e(+)e(-) --> gamma upsilon(
l) ($) over bar upsilon(l) and its sensitivity to anomalous gauge boso
n couplings of the gamma WW vertex. We concentrate on CERN LEP II ener
gies, root s=200 GeV, and energies appropriate to the proposed Next Li
near Collider (NLC), a high energy e(+)e(-) collider, with center of m
ass energies root s=500 and 1 TeV. At 200 GeV, the process offers, at
best, a consistency check of other processes being considered at LEP 2
00. At 500 GeV, the parameters kappa(gamma) and lambda(gamma) can be m
easured to about +/-0.05 and +/-0.1, respectively, at 95% C.L. while a
t 1 TeV, they can be measured to about +/-0.02. At the high luminositi
es anticipated at high energy linear colliders precision measurements
are likely to be limited by systematic rather than statistical errors.
