My. Ratner et al., THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CLINICAL CLASSIFICATI ON OF CHRONIC GLOMERULONEPHRITIS FOR ITS PROGNOSIS AND EFFICACY OF THERAPY, Terapevticeskij arhiv, 68(6), 1996, pp. 10-13
A significant correlation exists between clinical types of chronic glo
merulonephritis (CGN) in a new clinical classification and morphologic
al CGN types according to classification of WHO experts. Rapid progres
sion is significantly correlated with clinicomorphological variants of
CGN represented by unfavorable clinical types and unfavorable morphol
ogical types. No rapid progression occurred in combination of clinical
ly favourable types and morphologically favourable and unfavorable typ
es. The above classification is recommended for practice.
