Abstract
Cervical and low back pain are frequent complaints of injured workers. This article outlines a rational clinical examination of the spine-in jured workers and stresses judicious use of diagnostic tests. Treatmen t approaches that minimize disability while managing symptoms are expl ored. Indications for surgical interventions for those patients with s evere and persistent symptoms are discussed.
