Abstract
A variety of vinyl bromo allylic alcohols are converted into the corre sponding vinylio carbonyl compounds and secondary alcohols are oxidise d into ketones upon treatment with palladium acetate in the presence o f potassium carbonate under the typical Heck reaction conditions.
