Abstract
A new topology for the single-phase PFC-pre-staged AC/DC/AC converter is presented. The introduction of a common-neutral connection simplifi es the conventional connection of an AC/DC/AC structure, and gives a n ew topology that still has good performance, conforms with output safe ty regulations and has other advantages such as requiring fewer power devices and having lower conduction losses.
