Mk. Kang et al., PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF 2 XYLANASES FROM ALKALOPHILIC CEPHALOSPORIUM SP STRAIN RYM-202, Applied and environmental microbiology, 62(9), 1996, pp. 3480-3482
Two different xylanases, CX-I and CX-II, from an alkalophilic fungus,
Cephalosporium sp, strain RYM-202, have been purified to homogeneity,
The enzymes had similar pH (7.5 to 8.0) and temperature (50 degrees C)
optima and were stable over a wide pH range of 5.5 to 12.0. Both enzy
mes were shown to be cellulase-free endoxylanases with transglycosidat
ion activity.
