Abstract
The authors report two cases of hypercalcemia which occurred in hypopa rathyroid women treated with vitamin D and calcium. A recent literatur e review suggests a major role for parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTH-rP), secreted by the mammary tissue, in this phenomenon with obv ious implications for clinical practice.
