Abstract
The features of water and aqueous solutions at high temperatures and p ressures, along with the physicochemical foundations for the applicati on of hydrothermal processes in hydrometallurgy, heat engineering, and power engineering, are considered. The research problems in the field of the chemistry of high-temperature equilibria related to the proble ms for hydrothermal processes are discussed.
