Abstract
We report a case of Kikuchi's disease in a 36-year-old woman who, a fe w months later, developed systemic lupus erythematosus. Kikuchi's dise ase is characterized by enlarged, usually cervical, lymph nodes with h istiocytic, necrotizing lymphadenitis. This entity of unknown origin m ay be considered as a non-specific immune reaction due to a viral infe ction. It has been described in association with systemic lupus erythe matosus in ten patients in the world literature.
