Chaetomium floriforme sp. nov., isolated from unidentified fallen leav
es collected in the north of Thailand, is described and illustrated. T
he fungus is distinguished by its typical obovate ascomata with articu
lar ascomatal hairs, broadly limoniform ascospores with an apical or s
ubapical germ pore, a Humicola anamorph and its growth temperature res
ponse.
