IMMEDIATE-TYPE ALLERGY TO MILLET

Immediate type allergy to millet. In two female patients anaphylactic reactions (urticaria, dyspnoea, unconsciousness) occured after the ing estion sf millet meals. The immediate type allergy was diagnosed by sk in test and serology (detection of specific IgE-antibodies). In the fi rst case a partial cross-allergenicity to further cereals (corn, wheat , gesture, oat, rye, rice) could be obtained by RAST-inhibition assays .
