Abstract
We present 2 cases of failed coronary angioplasty, with hemodynamic co mpromise, where emergency coronary artery bypass grafting was performe d without cardiopulmonary bypass. The hypodynamic nature of the stunne d myocardium in this circumstance allows this technique to be applied with relative ease to accessible vessels. As a consequence, reduced mo rbidity and hospital stay can be anticipated.
