There are presented results of studies on dynamics of decomposition of
2-methyl-4,5-trimethylene-4-isothiazoline-3-on (MTI) - a biocide for
preservation of water-oil emulsion systems from the bacteria developme
nt. Studies have been carried out in emulsions of diversified - accord
ing to the plan - concentrations being used as cooling fluids for meta
l machining. There have been developed the method of active substance
isolation from the system as well as the method of MTI concentration d
etermination by HPLC.
