Abstract
We fabricated CdSe/ZnSe polycrystalline quantum well structures on gla ss substrates by vacuum evaporation. The ZnSe buffer layers had column ar structures along the [111] axis. A sharp emission peak due to the r ecombination of quantized electrons and holes in the well was observed at 11K for the first time. The peak shifted as the thickness of the C dSe well changed. The results of heat treatments are also reported.
