We report the case of a 41-year-old patient with an 8-year history of
Crohn's disease who developed papules, nodules, and crusted lesions on
his lower legs, right arm and trunk. Histologic examination showed a
granulomatous necrotizing inflammation of the dermis extending into th
e subcutaneous fat, together with granulomatous vasculitis of some ves
sels. The lesions appeared with exacerbation of the inflammatory bowel
disease and responded well to systemic steroid therapy.
