Abstract
A series of ethyl ,N-diethyl-amino/3-piperido/3-morpholinopropyloxy) - 2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylates (3a-f and 6a-c) have been prepared from the corresponding epoxides (2 and 5) on reaction w ith nucleophilic reagents such as N,N-diethylamine; piperidine and mor pholine in methanol. Compounds 3a-f and 6a-c are evaluated for their e ffect on blood pressure and heart rate in normotensive anaesthetised r ats.
